One thing almost every successful man tells me when we first meet?

“I hate shopping.”

And honestly, after shopping with men for more than a decade, I can confidently say this: that is rarely true.

Most men do not hate shopping. They hate what shopping has become.

Too many choices. Too many dress codes. Endless confusion around brands, fits, fabrics, trends, and what is actually worth spending money on. Add to that a retail experience where sales staff are often incentivised to push trends rather than what genuinely suits the customer, and shopping quickly becomes exhausting.

For many men, this creates a silent fear: What if I spend good money and still buy the wrong thing?

And that fear turns shopping into friction.

Some men begin avoiding it altogether. Others swing to the opposite extreme and become impulsive buyers, purchasing things that look impressive in the moment but never truly feel right later.

Imagine spending a significant amount of money and still feeling unsure whether you made the right choice. Over time, that frustration slowly transforms into a belief:

“I hate shopping.”

But the truth is much simpler.

Men do not hate shopping.

They hate confusion.

And surprisingly, shopping becomes far more enjoyable when someone removes the noise, simplifies the choices, and brings clarity to what actually works for you. Because when a man understands what suits him, shopping stops feeling overwhelming and starts feeling intentional.
